About Motion to Rise

Clinician-Led Coaching for Women in High-Conflict Separation

Why Motion to Rise Exists:

High-conflict divorce is not “just divorce.”

It’s destabilizing, disorienting, exhausting, and often unsafe.

Attorneys are trained in law, not trauma.

Therapists are trained in trauma not high-conflict legal dynamics.

Most people going through a high-conflict divorce fall through the cracks of both systems.

Gaps Left Between Trauma Care & Legal Strategy

Motion to Rise exists to bridge exactly what both systems miss so no one falls through the cracks of either.

This work exists for:

- Women in the first year of high-conflict separation who need structure, not just support

- Women navigating coercive control, post-separation abuse, or narcissistic tactics in court

- Women who need to show up prepared, regulated, and credible — for their attorney, their kids, and themselves

- Family law attorneys and CDFAs who want regulated, strategic clients

You don’t need toxic positivity or surface-level motivation.

You need grounding.

You need structure.

You need a trauma-informed guide who understands both the emotional storm and the legal battlefield.

You’ll get that here.

Where My Work Comes In:

A Bridge Between Trauma & Family Law

My background is clinical, but my specialty is built around one truth: High-conflict divorce requires a different kind of support.

I help:

-women experiencing narcissistic or coercive control

-clients dealing with DARVO, gaslighting, manipulation, or post-separation abuse

-legal teams needing stabilized, prepared, credible clients

-families impacted by emotional reactivity and chronic conflict

-survivors who feel overwhelmed, confused, or afraid of what comes next

This isn't therapy.

This isn't legal advice.

What I offer is something both systems desperately need:
Trauma-informed stabilization + strategic support that strengthens emotional safety and legal readiness.

I help clients:

-regulate their nervous system

-understand high-conflict patterns

-communicate in ways that align with legal strategy

-document in patterns judges understand

-prepare for mediation and testimony

-show up composed, credible, and clear

This support stabilizes clients and strengthens the cases attorneys are trying to build.

Why Women Trust Me:

You’re not losing your mind.

You’re not “too emotional.”

You’re not broken.

You’re reacting to a situation intentionally designed to destabilize you.

Women come to me when:

-they no longer trust their instincts

-their partner’s behavior makes no sense

-the legal system feels overwhelming or re-traumatizing

-the emotional chaos becomes too heavy to carry alone

-they need clarity, safety, and a plan

I’ve lived what you’re living.

I understand the fear, confusion, panic, and exhaustion, because I've been there.

And I built Year One™ specifically for the first 12 months after leaving—the most disorienting, high-stakes year of the whole process.

This is the program I needed and couldn't find.

Why Legal Teams Trust Me:

Family law firms partner with Motion to Rise because:

-I stabilize dysregulated clients

-I reduce crisis calls, spirals, and emotional emergencies

-I teach clients communication patterns that judges respect

-I prepare clients for mediation and testimony

-I translate coercive-control patterns into workable context

-I reduce the emotional labor placed on attorneys

-I help clients present as credible, grounded, and composed

-I support cases involving narcissism, coercive control, and post-separation abuse

I don’t replace therapy.

I don’t replace legal counsel.

I strengthen the effectiveness of both.

Why I Do This Work:

I didn't create Motion to Rise to inspire people.

I created it because I went through a 6.5 year high-conflict divorce, and I couldn't find the support I needed.

I was a licensed psychotherapist with 13 years of clinical experience at that time. I thought I understood trauma, nervous system dysregulation and emotional abuse. It turns out that understanding it clinically and living inside it are two completely different things.

And I still didn't know how to navigate the legal system, manage the hostile texts, protect my kids from his narrative, control costs with my attorneys, anticipate my ex's next move, how to show up to court to "win", or even know what to expect when I finally chose to leave the relationship.

If it was that hard for me, it's that hard for every woman going through it alone.

That's why Year One™ exists.
