Motion to Rise™ fills the gap between trauma care and legal strategy so your clients show up regulated, prepared, and aligned with your case plan.

High-conflict clients generate significant non-billable crisis work
Trauma responses impair credibility in mediation, depositions, and testimony
These cases increase attorney burnout and compassion fatigue
Client dysregulation elevates bar complaint risk
High-conflict cases are the most resource-intensive and emotionally taxing in family law
You’re asked to be:
-lawyer
-counselor
-interpreter
-crisis manager
-emotional stabilizer
And you were trained to practice law, not trauma physiology.
Motion to Rise exists to bridge that gap.
Nervous System Stabilization:
Clients learn why they can't think straight under chronic stress, and get practical tools to regulate before appointments, depositions, and court appearances.
Understanding High-Conflict Patterns: Clients learn to recognize coercive control, DARVO, and litigation-abuse tactics so they stop being alarmed and start being strategic.
Communication & Documentation: Coaching Clients learn what to document, how to organize it, and how to communicate in writing as if a judge is reading every word, because one might be in the future.
Mediation & Court Preparation:
Clients gain tools to show up composed, coherent, and credible under stress. They learn how to avoid taking the bait when he puts on an act.
Guest Expert Sessions:
Each cohort includes a session with a family law attorney and a CDFA, so clients understand the legal and financial landscape from qualified professionals.
✔ Time saved
Fewer crisis communications, spirals, and emergencies.
✔ Improved Client Credibility
Trauma-informed stabilization enhances performance in mediation and court.
✔ Reduced Burnout
Attorneys remain attorneys, not emotional responders.
✔ Stronger Case Outcomes
Stabilized clients are easier to present and represent.
✔ Lower Risk Exposure
Regulated clients are less likely to escalate, self-sabotage, or file bar complaints.
✔ Cleaner Evidence & Timelines
Clients learn how to present information in a usable format — reducing hours of sorting through screenshots, long emails, or irrelevant content.
✔ Improved Client Follow-Through
Stabilized clients are more likely to comply with legal instructions, deadlines, parenting recommendations, and documentation requests.
✔ Better Alignment Between Client+Legal Strategy
When clients understand high-conflict patterns, they stop making reactive choices that undermine their attorney's strategy.
The most direct way to support a high-conflict client is to refer them into Year One™—a 10-week structured group coaching program that runs alongside their legal case.
If you'd like to discuss an ongoing referral relationship, a firm training, or a specific client situation, please contact Stacy.
Your legal team works best when your clients are regulated, prepared, and supported.
